Sapphire blue with a sheen strong enough that the color runs bright where the light falls and close to navy in the folds.
The shirt stops at mid-thigh, with a notched round neck and full sleeves that flare at the wrist. A spray of leaves and small flowers is embroidered in pale blue down one side of the neck, and fine parallel rows of stitching edge the cuffs.
On the front, the heaviest work is at the hem. Long leaves filled with tiny dots run across it, a leafy spray climbs one side, clusters of small flowers sit between the leaves, and a double row of dots finishes the edge.
The shalwar is cut full and draped, so it falls in deep folds across the front and gathers just above the ankle. The dupatta is patterned in pale blue where it wraps the neck, with a fine dotted trim down one edge.
Wrap the dupatta close at the throat and let its length fall to one side, and the embroidered neckline stays clear.
