Warm ivory pure shisha silk, embroidered in wine, rose, blush pink and sage, with the color gathered at the neck and the hem, and small pink sprigs and pale dotted drops scattered over the silk between.
It is a single straight column of silk that stops at the lower calf. The full sleeves end at the wrist in an almond shape in rose and wine inside a band of tiny ivory dots, with a spray of rose flowers and sage leaves on curling ivory stems just above.
A short slit opens at the center of the round neck, and flowers spread from the neckline toward the shoulders. Two ivory cords run down the front and end in long tassels. Behind them, a panel of embroidery reaches to about the waist: almond shapes in wine framed in rose, each with a white center, a sage vine of paired leaves down the outer edge, and, where the panel ends, a cluster that deepens from pale pink through rose to wine between two broad blush leaves.
Near the hem the embroidery deepens into a border of sage vines and wine and pink flowers on curling stems, with a large curling scroll traced in tiny pale dots just above it. The edge curves in broad scallops, each finished with a ladder of short stitched bars in ivory and rose, and on one side it turns up along a slit, where a sage vine climbs to a stack of wine and pink flowers.
The kaftan is shown over ivory trousers that stop above the ankle.
